Our smooth, easy-drinking Vienna Roast blend grows in the lush hills and valleys of Latin America. This medium roast features warm, velvety notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar and roasted nuts. A balanced, full-bodied cup that’s perfect for any time of day.
A seasonally fresh blend of beans from Latin America, we roast this coffee to the mid-range degree to highlight sweetness and accentuate body. It is easy drinking, smooth and balanced. It’s ideally suited for filtered coffee, whether in an auto drip brewer or a pour over.
Although it’s not in common vernacular like french roast or espresso roast, the vienna roast is also a traditional roast profile. Some consider this roast level to create the perfect cup of sweet caramelized sugar notes. Sourced from Latin American farms, our Vienna Roast is anything but boring. Created for those who seek balance, this coffee is our go-to for an easy drinking cup – some easy listening Sunday morning tunes for your coffee mug.
El Salvador may be a tiny country geographically speaking. But, when it comes to coffee, the country puts out some giant flavors. In part, this is due to its abundant volcanic soil and dedication to Bourbon and Pacamara varieties. We have been buying these great beans of Salvador from the Larin family since the mid-90s. This fourth generation coffee family has farmed in the town of Juayua since 1798. They have grown from one small coffee farm to a few at various elevations. We source from all three farms owned by the Larins – El Tesoro, Shangri-la and San Rafael. This is an example of our focus on maintaining strong partnerships over time. Each farm produces different flavor profiles and qualities, which are integrated into Vienna Roast.
