Our Decaf Organic Espresso Bel Canto layers hearty and rich beans from the Americas with fruit-forward beans from Ethiopia. The result is a complex espresso with notes of berries and cocoa. Bel Canto means “beautiful song.” We take great pride making sure this medium roast flavor matches that image. Decaffeinated through the innovative Swiss Water® Process, this espresso also makes an elegant drip-brewed coffee.

Why you’ll enjoy it

Sweet deep berries and dark cocoa powder are the predominant flavors of this lyrical decaf espresso. “Bel Canto” is Italian for “beautiful song,” after all.  So we take great care to make sure it lives up to the name. This positively lifting coffee is decaffeinated through the gentle Swiss Water® Process in Vancouver B.C.; a natural water and carbon filter method.


Origin Story

Our Decaf Organic Espresso Bel Canto, keeps savvy decaf connoisseurs in mind – we blend coffees from the Americas with Ethiopian beans to create a balanced and complex espresso blend. We think you deserve something just as good as the original.

Producer Spotlight: Peru Union y Fe

Cooperativa Agraria de Servicios Multiples – Union y Fe -was started in 2014 in the mountains of La Coipa in the San Ignacio, Cajamarca region of Northern Peru. Its founder, Lorenzo Cruz, is one of the most dedicated farmers in his region with his intense focus on quality. The name means “Union and Faith”, and the group exemplifies teamwork and perseverance in their coffee production – focusing on maintaining high quality standards with a smaller number of producer members. The 250 members grow coffee at altitudes between 1,200 and 2050 masl on an average farm size of less than 4 hectares.  The cooperative has invested in their infrastructure, including building new drying modules, cupping lab and a central mill for processing. 

Caring for the community and environment is at the forefront – Union y Fe provides agronomy training and assistance, in addition to developing a food security program showing members how to raise small animals and grow vegetable gardens. We have established a strong bond with Lorenzo and the farmers of the cooperative, purchasing the cooperative’s coffees since 2017.
