A bag of David Lynch Coffee

In 2005, the David Lynch Foundation (DLF) was founded with the mission to prevent and eradicate toxic stress among under-resourced populations through a Transcendental Meditation (TM) program. Since opening its doors, DLF has helped bring the stress-reducing TM technique to over one million children and adults around the world. With the release of our Limited Edition David Lynch Coffee, we are donating $10,000 to the DLF, supporting their newest initiative to bring TM to healthcare workers.

In response to the pandemic, DLF launched Heal the Healers Now on April 6, 2020, bringing the stress-reducing TM technique to medical providers battling against COVID-19. As hospitals have been inundated with patients over the past several months, healthcare workers are on the frontlines, working overtime, physically and mentally drained. Even before the pandemic, physician burnout was already considered a public health crisis.

Giving healthcare providers access and education on TM, gives them the ability to practice deep relaxation and stress-reduction on their own, everyday. An ER nurse in San Diego who uses TM recently reported to DLF, “Transcendental Meditation is the single best thing I have ever done to improve my quality of life. Especially now, with the COVID-19 pandemic, I am not experiencing the angst that I see others experiencing around me.”

We have partnered with David Lynch for years on his David Lynch Signature Cup, but are so excited for our new partnership with the David Lynch Foundation, and to be a small part of the big work they are doing to help medical professionals when they need it most.
