We utilize three different decaffeinating methods for our decaf line: Swiss Water® process, performed in Canada; Mountain Water™ Process, done in Mexico; and Ethyl Acetate and Water Process performed in Germany. Currently, only the beans for our Decaf Sumatra are sent to the Ethyl Acetate and Water process plant in Germany for decaffeination. All our other decaffeinated coffees use the Swiss Water® or Mountain Water™ methods. In addition, both Swiss Water® and Mountain Water™ plants are certified organic.
