A heavy bodied coffee displaying herbal and mushroom undertones accented with hints of eucalyptus, sage and tobacco. This is one of our most popular coffees. Blue Batak derives its name from the indigenous Batak people of Lintong who grow coffee in the hillsides surrounding lake Toba. In Batak culture, women are the merchants and money handlers. Our coffees are sourced by three Batak women who have developed a network of small family farmers that provide them with the emerald blue beans that eventually end up in our roasters.
