This cooperative is made up of around 200 organic producers that is one of three sister organizations called, Asorganica, AMACA and Corseda. Amaca is an all-female cooperative, while Corseda is a co-op of silk producers. Asorganica is made up of all of the organic coffee producers from the area located around the villages of Tambo and Timbio in the department of Cauca.

This region is known for its rugged, but lush mountainous beauty. The countryside is a colorfully quilted pattern of coffee, tomatoes, and other food crops. After four years of hard work and dedication to become certified organic, finally in 2005 the

first one hundred and twenty farms came on board the Organica cooperative.
